Description
This superfood-filled latte is a great alternative to an afternoon espresso drink. Lightly sweet and quite rich, it’s a wonderful drink for winter.
Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 3/4 cup almond milk
Instructions
Stovetop Version
- Put the almond milk in a small saucepan and heat over medium.
- When the milk is steaming and just begins bubbling, pour it into your blender along with the other ingredients.
- Blend on high for about a minute or until foam forms on top.
Milk Steamer Version
- Put the almond milk in a designated milk steamer on the less foamy setting. Blend and heat the milk.
- Pour the milk into the blender along with the other ingredients.
- Blend on medium low until just incorporated. It should still retain some bubbles.
Notes
I highly recommend using almond milk for the way its flavor melds nicely with cacao, but feel free to experiment with other milks, too!
Dutch process cocoa (or whatever you have) can also work but may be less nutritious.
